Q. How to install 24h Internet Phone software ?

A. 24h Internet Phone software can be installed on Microsoft Windows (98/ME/2000/XP) operating systems. Download 24h software in accordance with the instructions step by step, the installation can be completed easily.

Q. How to register account on 24h Internet Phone software ?

A. 24h Internet Phone is registered by email address. When clicking the 24h soft-phone icon for logging in, a menu will pop up for account registration. Enter your email address and your own PIN. Click ¡§agree¡¨ at the 24h customers' agreement

and ¡§registration successful¡¨ will be shown.

•  How to adjust the sound volumes of 24h Internet Phone ?

•  There are two volume controls at the Soft-Phone interface. The left one is for microphone while the right one is for earphone. + sign is to increase volume, - sign is to decrease volume.

Q. How to login my account on 24h Internet Phone software ?

A. Click 24h icon, enter your email address with PIN. Click ¡¥OK¡¨ and the Soft-Phone interface will show successful registration.

Q. How to recharge on 24h Internet Phone software ?

A. At the Soft-Phone interface, under the microphone and earphone volume controls,

click the $ sign icon. A Manuel will pop up. Enter the recharge-card number and the password with additional code. Click ¡§Recharge¡¨ then you will see indications of successful recharge if the card number and PIN is correct.

•  Why is that the remote party cannot hear from me or I cannot hear him when call is connected ?

•  After the successful installation of 24h Internet Phone software, you may need to adjust the sound levels for your audio devices. Below the volume controls of microphone and earphone, there are five icons. Click the third left ¡§system config.¡¨ and select ¡§audio¡¨. By going through the ¡§audio wizard¡¨ in the audio configuration page, you can adjust the proper sound level at your desire.

Q. What should I do when the remote party hears echo ?

A. You are suggested to use headset with microphone, USB handset or 24h compatible audio devices instead of speaker-phone in your PC. The voice from the remote party will be feedback directly through the speaker-phone causing echo although 24h Internet Phone is equipped with echo-canceller to eliminate it. So please try to keep the speaker apart from the microphone or to decrease the volume of the loud speaker.

Q. Why is that I hear intermittent voice sometimes ?

A. Voice intermittent is because of ¡§packet drop¡¨ during digitized voice transmissions.

Packet dropping is likely to be caused by:

•  Poor Internet condition

•  Insufficient bandwidth on the Internet

•  Faulty sound card

•  Insufficient RAM usage or CPU overloading

So when you are using 24h Internet Phone service, please pay attention to the following:-

•  Ensure that your Internet connection is normal

•  Sound card driver is working normal

•  Audio levels have been aligned properly

•  Close all unused programs to off-load RAM and PCU usage and also Internet bandwidth

Basically, if the above four points are observed carefully, normal conversation can be enjoyed when using 24h Internet Phone.

Q. Can I use LAN, DSL(data line) or ADSL modem dial-up ?

A. Yes you can.

Q. How can I change the language at the Soft-Phone interface ?

A. There are five icons below the volume controls for microphone and earphone at the Soft-Phone interface. Click the third left icon(system config.) and select Network.

You will find the language choice at the lowest part. Select your preference and click OK. You may need to re-login to effect your change.

Q. Can I use 24h Internet Phone behind Firewall ?

A. For those who are having Network Address Translation (NAT) firewall, you do not need any special equipment for using 24h Internet Phone. But you may need to contact your LAN administrator or technical support for a slight change of router configuration to support H.323 protocol communications.

Q. How to dial IDD calls on 24h Internet Phone software ?

A. Please dial IDD calls according to the following format:

00 (IDD prefix) + Country code + Area code + Telephone number

Example 1:

Calling China telephone number 0086-25-83990800

(where 00 is IDD prefix, 86 is the Country code of China, 25 is the Area code of Nanjing city and 83990800 is the called party's telephone number)

Example 2:

Calling Belgium mobile number 0032-485578833

(where 00 is IDD prefix, 32 is the Country code for Belgium, 485578833 is the called party's mobile number)
